Hello!

I plan to do a tour for appr. 7 days to the Orient/Equador mid of Nov 06. I Think that I will start in Quito or Coca. Does anybody has a recommendation for a tour operator? Probably I will book this tour in Quito.
By the way, will you sleep always in lodges or will you sleep in tents? Is it common to change the location every night or will you stay in one place? Which recommendations do you have?

Thanks for your help!

hey,

I returned yesterday from a 4 day trip into the Cuyabeno Wildlife reserve. I went there with Rainforestur, booked the trip in Quito. It was an awesome trip saw heaps of animals (caymans, freshwater dolphins, tarantulas, many bird and insects). It cost $40US/day, for accom and transportation from Lago Agrio and all food. We stayed in the one lodge in individual tents which were all under a huge hut. Everyday we did trips away from the lodge, mostly getting there by canoe. Most of the other tour agencies seem to do the same at different lodges. The price depends on the facilities you need. We had no power, water for showers were from rainwater tanks. It was fine for me.

Hi,

I stayed at a place called Shangri La, you can book these cabanas in Tena. It is incrediblethere. The view overlooks a tributary of the rio Napo, and they include many adventures in their rates, as well as delicious food, and a trip to a wildlife reserve wher eyou can even hold monkeys!!

It is beautiful and very good for a budget, I was surprised at how inexpensive the place was, as the quality was great. Also gives you an ahyuhuasca experience opportunity as well...interesting stuff...

Happy travels!!!
