| Unintended pun there -- pretty good, huh? Anyway, I'm planning a visit to Ecuador in October and want to include a ride on la Nariz del Diablo. I'm trying to find a good place to stay the night before in Riobamba -- near the train station, and low-budget, too. But most of all, I'm trying to confirm that the train ride is still running as scheduled. I've been coming across info on the web that hints of its closing due to disrepair. Please tell me it's not so! |

| We travelled on the Nariz Del Diablo in mid August this year. It leaves 3 times a week; Wed, Fri and Sun, fare $12or $13. We stayed at the Riobamba Hotel, about 3 minutes walk from the station, and it was fine. Can't remember the exact price, about $20 for a double. |
