Hi,
I'd like some recommendations for good tours/guides to the jungle from Misahualli, and for trips to Quilotoa and Cotopaxi from Latacunga. Any other general comments and advice on these areas well appreciated. No spammers please!
Cheers,

| If you are planning to go to Lake Quilotoa, don“t stay in Latacunga, get yourself to The Black Sheep Inn in Chugchilan. It is without a doubt one of the best hostels ever (bunkhouse or private rooms) they have loads of information about walks and hikes in the area. The walk from Quilotoa - Chugchilan is a superb 6-8 hour walk (amazing scenery) Another great place to stay on the Quilotoa loop is Llullu Llama hostel in Isinlivi, hire a guide + horse to carry your big pack and hike from Chugchilan - Isinlivi 6-8 hours through the Toachi Canyon (yet again amazing scenery) Llullu llama has lots of info on walks around Isinlivi, one that I did that was really good was Sigchos - Isinlivi. The hosts at Llullu Llama might drive you to Sigchos, or get a collectivo and spend the day hiking back to Isinlivi (they provide maps). Also Katherine at the Llullu Llama is one of the greatest cooks ever, superb hearty home cooking, the perfect thing after a day of hiking. Hope this is of some help, happy travels. |
