Hotel Doña Esther is located only half a block from the central park (Parque Bolívar) and the busiest central shoppingstreet (Calle Sucre), where you´ll find the famous market on Saturday.

For almost a hundred years people arrive at this spot in Otavalo to have a night´s rest and something good to eat (the former hotel started functioning around 1910).

The hotel has 12 spacious stylish rooms -all with private bathroom- and a rooftop penthouse with a livingroom, fireplace, television (Cable), refrigerator and terrace with a hammock. All the rooms are built around the inner courtyard, the ones in front have a little balcony.

In the front part of the hotel you´ll also find a little shop that sells handicrafts you won´t easily find in town, of which revenue 20% will be donated to a social project in or outside of Otavalo. Besides that there´s a bookexchange/sale.

The restaurant "Arbol de Montalvo" (before Il de Roma) we serve mediterranean food. One of the specialities is the pizza, prepared in the only woodburning oven in town.
