The Institute Atahualpa offers a pleasant and familiar atmosphere. It is a small school where the student is at the centre of attention. Therefore, the individual expectations of each student can be met.

The Institute is located in the heart of modern Quito, close to the main shopping area Amazonas. Quito's most important shops, travel agencies and restaurants can be found there..

The courses are suitable for beginners and advanced students and it is possible to begin at any level. Also prepare students for the well-known Spanish certificates like "Diploma de español como lengua extranjera" (D.E.L.E.) issued by the University of Salamanca, the Inicial (C.I.E.), the Básico (D.B.E.) or the Superior diploma (D.S.E.).

The courses contain one-to-one lessons, the teaching experience shows, that this is the best way to learn a foreign language. Therefore, it is possible for students to choose their individual number of weekly lessons, the rate and the subject they want to be taught. Teachers change every week.

Lessons are structured in various ways. Besides the compulsory grammar lecture, emphasis is placed on pronounciation, conversation and vocabulary as well as on Latin-American culture. Vocabulary learned can be used immediately when talking with native speakers.

When you have completed your course, you will receive an official diploma from the Ecuadorian Ministry of Education and Culture.
