The Motor Sailor Cachalote Designed and built in California in 1971 and fully refurbished in 2002 for cruises on the Galapagos Islands, with comfort in mind.
The Cachalote is equipped with 280 hp Caterpillar diesel engine, two 50-kilowatt generators for 220 and 110 AC, 12 volt DC, all required electronic safety equipment, tenders with outboard motors, life rafts, freezer and refrigerator, desalinator, TV and DVD player.
A stylish motor sailor with capacity for 16 passengers. Its superb service and outstanding naturalist guide will ensure a pleasant visit in a relaxing atmosphere.
The boat has 7 cabins on the lower deck equipped with double beds or berths and a cabin with double bed on the main deck. All have private bathrooms, hot water, air conditioning and plenty of storage space; offering the comfort you well deserve during the journey through the archipelago.
The Cachalote offers, a main deck, the dining area is ingeniously designed for everyone to maintain visual contact thus allowing all to share their experiences while enjoying their wonderful dinner aboard. Adjacent to the salon-bar, there is a spacious and comfortable area conducive to conversation.
