Can anyone recommend a place to stay in Cuenca with an economical budget in mind.

hi,

The "El Cafecito" is a cool place, but it's often full, so book ahead, but there are lots of places to stay in Cuenca that are fairly cheap. You shouldn't have a problem.

If you're arriving by bus, there are a few hotels around the bus station. They aren't great, but livable. Going toward central city, you'll find a bunch more within a few blocks.
