my girfriend and me will be arriving in Quito on november the first and making are way slowly to Lima from there. We are keen to experience all ecuador has to offer and any advice suggestions would be briliant as we are both first time travellers unsure what to expect.

I am actually in the same position, I will be arriving in Ecuador at the end of December and spending 2 1/1 weeks there. From what I've heard Ecuador is fairly safe, but I have never been to South America before so i dont know what to expect. Do you know anything about the vaccination required? Have you thought of an itenerary yet? I am going to Quito-Tena-Banos-the coast and Otavalo. I have read that the north near the Colombian border isnt safe, so I'm staying away from there. Is there anything you have learned from doing research that you would like to share?
Thanks. |
