We would like to go to the Galapagos at the end of a stay during which I will be teaching in Otavalo. We would like to spend a week there relatively
itinerary-free.
Two (or more!) questions:
1) Is there any way to confirm our TAME flights from Quito to GPS now? The TAME agent indicated that we need to purchase the tickets in Ecuador.
2) Hotel Sol Y Mar: is it currently under contruction? (That's what we heard from an agent in Ecuador) What is the best way to make hotel reservations? Any other recommendations (similarly priced) if Sol Y Mar is not available? |

Hey!
They are a lot of tour operaters and agencies in Quito. When you are around you should look drop in somewhere to asked for flight tickets and just a place to stay. Transfers are mostly included and tours can be booked on the Galapagos.
I recommend you to book just the fligth and the hotel in advanced. Most Hotels offer dailytrips by yacht to other islands or landtrips. I will go to Santa Cruz / Puerto Ayora and I combined my tour with Galextur in Quito.
