Hi all,
I'm heading to Ecuador in a couple of months and I need to book a hostel in Quito (about 5 nights). I am a solo female traveler, looking for something that's safe, with a good location & a reasonable price. Any recomendations? I was thinking about staying at The Secret Garden - has anyone been there?

| Hey there, yep I stayed at the Secret Garden for about 5 nights back in November, I am a solo female traveller also so wanted somewhere safe... it was great, in the Old City so you are living amongst all the churches and old colonial buildings and not with all the other tourists. Its a beautiful funky hostel with a great view from the roof-top terrace. The people there are very friendly and social but its quite a party place so can get really noisy from 6am-11pm especially if you have one of the dorms near the terrace. If you book there I would recommend asking for one of the dorms on the lower levels. Enjoy! |
