Hi, we are looking for a nice, reasonably priced place near Otavalo. We are 2 adults and a daughter, 11 years old. Any suggestions? We don't need a 5 star hotel. Thanks!

The best place to stay close to Otovalo is Las Palmeras Inn. It is the less expensive sister hotel to El Cusin. I stayed there February 17-20, 2006.

For a single was $30, breakfast included (large portions of eggs and bread or granola and yogurt with juice and coffee/tea). Large, clean room, with fire place that is lit EVERY night. Staff is knowledgable. Able to walk to Otovalo craft market. I had a two hour massage for $30!

All in all for $202 US I received the following: I stayed Friday through Sunday night, had three breakfasts, two lunches, and three dinners. You can go horseback riding at their sister hoetl El Cusin.
