After browsing all the search results, and visiting some websites, have not been able to come up with sufficient info and would appreciate some feedback.
Am trying to organize a trip to Galapagos for myself and husband during 19 December - 2 January. Not interested in super budget travel, but not luxury either, and prefer very small groups to large ones. Would it be impossible to find boat tours, either the 8 day cruises, or perhaps day trips from a base location? Should I just resign myself to fact that I've left it too long, or is there some hope of actually getting together a decent itinerary at this late stage?
We are both fluent Spanish speakers, if this makes a difference (wouldn't need English-speaking guides).
Thanks in advance. |

| I booked my trip while I was in Quito (it took about 4 days or so) but that was in November. If you are in for a journey I would go to Quito and try and if they are all full then you can check out Equador, which is beautiful. Just a suggestion but worth thinking about. |

| The Angelique was a great boat! It sleeps 16 and I would say it is a mid-level boat. The crew was great, though I heard they were all fired a few months after we went. |
