Hi all!
Me and my girlfriend are planning to make a tour there.
We are thinking about the option to sleep in a hostel and to make day cruises. But that means to waste a lot of time.
In December is it a problem to sleep on the boats/yachts if your stomach is a little bit weak ?
Any tour companies recommended ?
Thanks a lot for your help, |

There are two islands in the Galapagos archipelago that have hotels and day cruises that depart from them. The drawback is that some islands (Isabella, for example which is fantastic) is too far from the inhabited islands to get to and tour in a day. Your touring is limited if you stay in a hotel.
On a cruise, however, you get to see a lot more. The ships are small though, so you definitely feel the waves. I went in December and most certainly felt the sea. I didn't have any problems with sea sickness, but if you have a queasy stomach, I wouldn't necessarily recommend it. We were tossed around quite a bit. There is medicine (Bonine) has been recommended to me to combat seasickness, but it really can ruin your whole trip! |

I went in November and in December. Weather doesn't change a whole lot. The differences are more in the animals and birds you see (i.e., pregnant, giving birth, lots of babies depending on the season you travel). The waves and seasick conditions aren't going to vary a whole lot.
Have a great trip. |
