Have you been on the New Flamingo boat or heard from someone who has? I have been offered an 8 day cruise on this boat for between 700-800 US$ from Quito travel agents over the internet, would you say it's a good price?
If you just flew to Puerto Ayora in November/December and found a last minute deal, was it easy and how long did it take? How much did you save?
I'd really appreciate if you would share your experience! |

| I've heard of the flamingo (a really nice boat) but not the new flamingo. $800 u.s. is a really good price (maybe too good, so really check out the tour co.!) my 9 day tour on the estella de mar cost 1800 booked in the u.s. and that was good (i did a lot of research). also remember thnat you stiill need to purchase r.t. airfare to galapagos from quito about $350 and you also have $100 park entrance fee. when you are ready to leave ecuador, there is also a departure tax; around $35, cash only . |
