Hi,
I am planning to fly into Quito late January and then start heading south, I am wondering a few things:

-I am flying from the US and I want to minimize my plane fares as much as possible any ideas/tips on where to fly back from

-If I fly round trip out of Quito will I be able to easily and cheaply get back there from Southern SA?

I can pretty much find a flight from any major capital in S. A. to the US.
The cheapest is Lima >> LAX
I flew into Quito travelled down to Rio and then flew to Houston from Rio on Continental for less than $400 oneway. Of course this is a risk considering I had no return ticket prebooked, but it all turned out well, as long as you budget reserve money for the plane tickets home and not spend it on partying.
