Hi guys.

Quik general question. I am going to Ecuador in September. Playa Escondida to be specific. I will be volunteering for a building project for a few weeks. I am a little nervious. What should I know? I am no stranger to long term travel but I don't know much (or what to expect or look out for) in this country. Has anyone been?

Hi,

I was in Ecuador about 2 months ago and I had a great time!! Playa Escondida, a beautiful safe pristine beach on an ecologically sound basis. Located fourteen kilometers away from Esmeraldas, with warm tidal pools full of marine life and marvel at dramatic rock formations with caves and tunnels carved by wind and waves. I often walked alone seeing as I was travelling alone, and never got into any problems, it is really easy to walk everywhere there even if its big so if you look like where you know yoy are going, and just enjoy everything there is to see you will not have any problems.. There is a restaurant called 100% natural which is very cheap considering the quality.
If you really want to relax, a set of rustic cabins overlooking a beautiful small bay with camping possibilities are waiting for you. Playa Escondida is a great place for swimming and strolling along its peaceful beach.
