I am looking for some advice about which boat to take during our visit to the Galapagos Islands as part of our RTW trip.

Ideally we would like to go on a 8 day - 7 night trip (not including any nights in Quito) on a boat that has the following features:

1) Cabins with double beds (I cant sleep in a bunk w/o getting seasick)

2) Windows in the cabins that are bigger than a small hole

3) Decent dive equipment and facilities

4) Good value for the price - we would pay more if the services and equipment are heaps better.

Speaking of diving in the Gal. Islands, can anyone recommend the BEST spots to dive? Since the boats charge a fortune for dives around there, we would like to limit ourselves to 2-3 of the best dive spots and would LOVE any advice on that topic!!

Any comments on how Zenith tours measure up to Tucan or G.A.P. tours in the Galapagos??? I see that Zenith is cheaper and has heaps more boats and has the benefit of supporting the locally based company in Quito, BUT are the boats kept up as well and is the food and service comparable?

There are 100 boats in the Galapagos - and all tour operators share them. So it really does not make a difference which tour operator you choose, just check out whether you like the boat or not. Prices may differ widely for the very same boat so be careful.

I went to the Galapagos with Zenith - got the cheapest price than anyone else on my boat and the same service as everyone. Zenith are also extremely helpful in planning your trip so don't be afraid to ask.
