Looking for a Spanish School in Ecuador - any recs? also I am curious if Cuenca and Ecuador in general is more expensive than other countries in S. America. Looking for a good and affordable spanish shcool in ecuador b-c I heard it was the best place in S. America to study espanol. Is it? Any recs would be greatly appreciated.

You can study spanish in any country in South Amerca but I would be inclined to do so in Colombia, Ecuador or Peru to get the best benefits of the accents.

Cuenca in Ecuador has some excellent schools I believe if you didn't want to study in Quito. The Secret Garden Hostel in Quito offers free and board for volunteer work in the Hostel if you are really strapped for cash. They have a website also.
