Anyone out there travelled on the Amigo recently? I am about to book for late 2007 and would welcome any up-to-date comments. I will be travelling with a nine-year-old and an 11-year-old and want the experience to be as good as possible for them. Thanks.

Don't have personal experience but it was recommended to us by a Swiss couple who went in late 2005, just over a year ago. They told us to choose either berths 3/4 on the mid deck (next to the engine but otherwise ok and reasonably sized) or better still to ask for berths 1/2 on the top deck. People can go past outside but they are more spacious I think.

They paid $700 US for 8 days but some others on the trip paid $650.
