Hi,
I want to live in Ibarra (preferebly) or in Quito for atleast one month. To lower my costs where can I stay? Is it possible to rent a room somewhere?
What about the daily expenses ?
I also want to look for a teaching job there, do I need to know spanish for that?
Please help with your advices. |

Visited Ibarra a few weeks ago and loved it there. I live in Quito but I would recommend Ibarra for sure.
You can get a nice decent hotel (means clean, quiet, friendly staff with hot water and own washroom) for around $8 USD a night. If you then negotiate for a weekly or monthly rate then you are looking at even less. Food is cheap and there were at least 2 language schools I saw in town (they also offer Spanish lessons which I was interested in).
I wouldnt worry about organizing too much from afar. Check out the hotels and find one you like when you get to town. Getting work for only one month is unlikely really unless you happen to tie into a peak time. But the pay is so cheap why bother.
Enjoy your trip! |
