Hi,
We will arrive in Quito on, May 18th, and since we have an outdated Lonely Planet book, would like some assistance with locating a hotel in the new town area of Quito. We would like a room with our own bathroom and hot water in the center . Our price range is from $20.00 to $40.00. Will check for replies tomorrow.
Thank you for your anticipated help. |

| We stayed at this Bed and Breakfast a few years back in the new city. It was clean, comfortable and safe. The owner is a monutain climber and can put tours together for all sorts of things. |

We would HIGHLY recommend Posada del Maple - the mini-suite (which isn't really a suite) is just lovely. We stayed there for our second honeymoon.
They offer a very reasonable taxi service to pick you up from the airport.
The breakfast is good, they have free & safe storage if you go away (you don't even have to stay there when you come back).
The best thing is the location - on one hand it's a quite residential street which means you can sleep like a baby. On the other hand the residential street is very short, it's very close to the tram & leads you in to the best part of La Mariscal which is great for food & going out. |
