Could you let me know where I can find beaches in South America. There must be some in Ecuador but they don't appear in the guide books.
Thanks |

If you like to spend some time on the beach, there is a decent beach in Ballenita with a fine beach area, fairly quiet for people wishing to get away for a couple of days, about one hundred kilometers from Peninsula de Santa Elena. I think it is quite safe to travel by bus.

| Farallon Dillon is a really nice place to check out if you are in Ballenita. The have reasonably priced rooms and an amazing resturaunt in a mariner museum. Also The Ballenita yacht club has made a lot of improvements and it's a great place to have a ceviche next to the ocean as you watch the beautiful sunset |
