I am thinking of travelling with my family in November/December - any idea on what the weather may be like? Is it best to stay at Napo Wildlife Centre or Sacha Lodge? Any suggested itinerary and companies to travel with? Would it be better to stay for 10 or 14 days?
Thanks. |

We went to Sacha Lodge last July and really liked it. Great combination of adventure and luxury.
You might consider Porto Lopez and the Isla de la Plata as an alternative to Galapagos (sometimes called the poor man's Galapagos.) Summer is cloudy, so not great beach weather, but that's when you can see the whales and on the Isla the blue-footed boobies and and frigate birds mating. We stayed at the Alandaluz Lodge - right on the beach, arranges the whale watching and Isla visit. Good place. |

I've been in Napo Wildlife Center and Sacha; definitely Napo is better and well kept.
Try first the Amazon 5/days and then the Galapagos 8/days. I've been aboard Sagitta (fantastic!) in March. I understand that July is cooler.
I suggest SunWind Travel. We had a great experience with them. |
