Day 1: Quito
After breakfast. In the morning we will go the most important places in the Old City. This tour will include a Quito Scenic tour visit plus a visit to “El museo de la Ciudad” to relieve part of Ecuador’s colonial time history and the Archaeological museum, one of the finest archaeological and gold artifact collection in the America’s owned by the Central Bank of Ecuador at the Casa de la Cultura. Then afterwards, we will visit to the Equatorial City Complex, unique opportunity to straddle both hemispheres, visit the ethnographic museum and the Middle of the World Colonial City Representation, full of handicrafts and souvenir shops. Afternoon Free. Back to your Hotel and Overnight.
Day 2: Riobamba
Early morning departure, traveling on the Pan American Highway, driving through the Andes and wind on along the Avenue of Volcanoes like Cotopaxi and Chimborazo. We pass through small villages and towns, located along a route of fields and colourful crops until we reach Riobamba, where we will tour its French style plazas and admire the façade of its Cathedral from the XVI Century Overnight at Riobamba.
Day 3: Alausi - Devil's Nose - Canari ruins - Ingapirca
After breakfast, departure from Riobamba to Alausi where we will board the auto Ferro for the scenic ride, and then after 02 hours trip you will be going via The Devil's Nose to Huigra, we recommend you to go on the top of a wagon to have a beautiful sight. After that we will continue our route by bus, stoping at the archaeological Canari ruins of Ingapirca. Finally arrival to Cuenca and overnight.
Day 4: Cuenca
After breakfast, full day excursion visiting Cuenca, located in the Andes-rimmed Pucaramba Valley, Cuenca is a charming town, recently named World Cultural Heritage Site for its architecture and colonial style. We will tour its streets admiring its colonial mansions with their gracious balconies and wrought iron banisters. Overnight at the selected hotel.
Day 5: Quito - Otavalo
In the morning we will transfer to the airport to board our plane to go to the City of Quito, a 30 minute flight where you will be able to enjoy the panorama of the Andes Mountain Chain. Once we land we will pay a visit to the most famous Markets or Mercados of Otavalo, the Indian market where you can buy ponchos, wood carvings, jewellery and Indigenous Handicrafts. In the afternoon we will visit Cotacachi, which is famous for its leather goods and articles. Transfer to your hotel and Overnight in the hotel of your choice. |
