Apu Inty Spanish School offers a personalized Spanish language learning experience in which cultural exchanges change the way students see the world and live in it.
Students can choose the general Spanish courses or enroll in one of the specialized programs for medical and environmental students.
The program is created around your needs and interests. Conveniently located in the heart of Quito, the school is a short walk to the restaurants, bars, internet cafes and other places of interest in the main tourist sector.
As a student at Apu Inty, you will have the chance to explore Quito’s fascinating colonial city with the free city excursions, cheer side-by-side with locals at soccer-games or learn more about Ecuadorian culture with the Latin dancing and cooking lessons. Also, you’ll be invited to join our weekly Spanish “movie nights” and the Wednesday
conversation club, where students practice Spanish with Ecuadorian students.
The Spanish Program is divided into four levels, in which language learning is complemented by exposure to social and cultural aspects of Latin American life. The basic through intermediate levels can be achieved in approximately 80 hours of classes (in a one-month intensive program). In all levels reading, writing, speaking and comprehension skills are learned.
Beginners: This program is for the students those who have been exposed to the Spanish language, but have no grammar background, and would like to strengthen their vocabulary, the second level is dedicated to improving comprehension as well as written and oral proficiency.
Intermediate: At this level, the students are able to communicate with ease, and continue to develop their vocabulary through the use of reading materials. More advanced levels of grammar are learned, such as the conditional and subjunctive tenses, conversation with native Spanish speakers is stressed, to allow the student to become more comfortable with spontaneous expression and debates on specific issues.
Advanced: This program is for students already quite familiar with the Spanish language and who would like to deepen their grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, writing, expression, literary and cultural knowledge will benefit from the variety of (literary, audio-visual, and cultural) materials and sources used in the Advanced level. In this level, students and teachers together determine the issues of interest to be studied, as well as the materials, methods and time-frame. |
